FemmOmega contains Omega-3 (from organic flaxseed oil) and Omega-6 (from evening primrose oil) essential fatty acids (EFAs). These are known as ‘good fats’ and are vitally important for optimum health. EFAs are not manufactured by the body and therefore must be supplied in the diet. A diet without sufficient EFAs can lead to ill health and chronic disease. Research shows that omega-3 essential fatty acids reduce inflammation and may help lower the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and arthritis. Once consumed, Omega-3 fatty acids are highly concentrated in the brain and appear to be important for cognitive (brain memory and performance) and behavioral function.

The Omega-6 essential fatty acids found in FemmOmega play a crucial role in brain function as well as in normal growth and development. They stimulate skin and hair growth, help to maintain bone health, regulate the body’s metabolism, and help to maintain the reproductive system.

The lignans found in flaxseeds are valuable phytoestrogens that can help to maintain normal estrogen levels.
